Image Rotator
Rotate and flip images to any orientation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my photo appear sideways on some devices? ▾
Most phone cameras don't actually rotate the image data. They just write an EXIF orientation tag telling software how to display it. Some apps read this tag correctly, others ignore it and show the raw (sideways) image. This tool physically rotates the pixels so the image looks right everywhere, regardless of EXIF support.
Does rotation reduce image quality? ▾
No. The rotation is performed at the original resolution using the Canvas API. For 90° increments, pixels are rearranged without re-encoding. The output preserves full quality.
Can I combine rotation with flipping? ▾
Yes. Rotation and flip are independent, so you can rotate 90° and flip horizontally at the same time to get any of the 8 possible orientations. The preview updates instantly so you can try different combinations before downloading.
What's the difference between horizontal and vertical flip? ▾
Horizontal flip mirrors left-to-right (like looking in a mirror). Vertical flip mirrors top-to-bottom (like flipping upside down). Horizontal flip is most commonly used for selfies that appear mirrored.
